... are persons who belong to the age group 10 to 24 years old. The youth friendly services refers to services that cater to the primary information and health needs of young people in an enabling environment.

Addressing the needs of young people is a challenge that goes well beyond the role of health services alone. While we still have to establish friendly health clinics within the district health centers and private clinics, we have to address the information needs of our young people in the city through IEC strategies that may not require them to come physically to clinics but information reaches them comfortably and conveniently.

This is an initial phase of their health-seeking behaviour that will later establish youth friendly health services in the health facilities in the city. Thus, this site is dedicated to providing an e-inquiry (electronic inquiry) site that will facilitate giving young people a venue of expressing private issues and concerns on their sexual and reproductive health.

The drop boxes in the pilot schools and the young people’s hotline are other options that will also enable young people to seek information if internet is not accessible or acceptable to them.

To start using our e-inquiry modules, please feel free to browse our different sections which is accessible by clicking on a menu item located on the top of the pages.

For any comments and suggestion on improving our e-inquiry service, please feel free to contact us.

THE chances are high that Filipino children aged 11 to 16 have already have tried smoking cigarettes. The probability that a child has already lighted his first stick--or worse, is a full-blown smoker--is even greater when members of his family are smoking, too. And then, of course, there is peer pressure.
